- You need to look for two "jumper pads" (as Commodore called them). They
- look like circles that are almost cut in half, except there will be
- a small trace between them. Cut one trace for device 9, cut the other
- for device 10, and cut both to make device 11. To make a switch, cut
- both traces and solder wires to either side of the trace, and solder
- switches (mount to the back or bottom of the drive) to the wires to
- make the connection between the two pads. These switches are only looked
- at on power up, so you won't be changing the device number while it
- is on by flipping the switch. You have to do a software switch for that.
-
- The location of these jumper pads varies from board to board. On some
- they are near the back side of the board, on others they are more
- towards the front.
